At the third international experts’ meeting on January 11th, 2024, CEURES partners again discussed urban success stories, mainly in the field of sustainability. Our organisation was represented by Valeria Szomolai, who presented an exclusively non-profit initiative for Ukrainian refugees in Banská Štiavnica, comparing it with a case study from Šamorín, where the municipality was actively involved in the management of the refugee issue. Our Polish expert colleague Annika Lundkvist reported on the successful promotion of sustainable urban public transport, while our Czech partner Marcel Pikhart from the University of Hradec Králové presented the pilot programme for urban farms in the Czech Republic.
