Our fourth expert meeting under the CEURES project on January 26th, 2024 was entirely dedicated to sustainability, with experts from all four countries presenting a model project on environmental issues – the example of the Hoštetin eco-village in the Czech Republic, the large-scale rehabilitation of the Narew River in Poland, and a Hungarian colleague Krisztián Tas from Hungary talking about an energy self-sufficient settlement. Our organisation was represented at the meeting by Valeria Szomolai, who presented a 5-year LIFE initiative with activities to counter the effects of climate change.
Best practice presented:
- Ecological Village Hostětín (Czech republic)
- Narew River Clean up in Łomża as a Local Ecological Civic Initiative (Poland)
- Resistent suburbs – taking climate action (Slovakia)
- Energy independence at settlement level (Hungary)
