You are invited to the online workshop “Participatory decision-making: scarecrow or facilitator?”. The aim of the workshop is to explore the importance of participation in public decision-making and to discuss the opportunities it offers in public administration. Examples of participative projects will be presented and there will be space for interactive discussion and exchange between participants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participation is a process whereby individuals or groups actively contribute to the decision-making, design or implementation of specific initiatives, projects or policies. It involves engagement, information sharing, expression of opinion and cooperation with other stakeholders in order to build consensus or a better understanding of an issue or topic. Participation can take many forms, including public meetings, consultations, online forums, stakeholder engagement and more. Participation is seen as a key element of the democratic process and is encouraged in many areas of society, including public administration, civil society and the business sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
